Dutchies going International - International Day at Summer School!

Hello everyone, We hope all of you can enjoy the sun as much as we do - Dutchies are sun worshippers :D  Gerrit had the extra amount of sunscreen today, since he knows - sun protection is very important!

Before we are talking about today, let's go back to yesterday. In the evening we had an international night where all participating countries prepared a presentation and explained  their culture to us. Let me shortly remind you. The students participating in the IMCD are from Slovenia, Croatia, Estonia, Portugal, and of course - The Netherlands. During the night we tried a lot of food. Yammi! On the picture here you can see some traditional food from Estonia, which was very tasty.

But not only that. We learned traditional dances. Such as a Slovenian folk dance. As you can see, our teacher/gentleman Konstantin was having a great time dancing with that cute lady.

Afterwards we went to a bar and had a great time socialising with each other. You can imagine that it is so interesting to talk to all those people coming from different parts of the world and getting to know their traditions and their habits.

Now coming back to today. In the morning we had a very interesting lecture about trends in tourism and how the market is changing over the time, it was really interesting to see that especially Asia is a very upcoming market for tourism.

Afterwards we starteded working on our project. Writing a Marketing plan. This was very exhousting so we really needed some beach time afterwards. There we had a great time playing with our new friend Bruno. Don´t worry, Bruno (the one armed!) is a very friendly krab that is just happy walking on the stones along the water.

Well, this was it for today, right now we are going to have a lovely picknick at the beach. stay tuned for more awesome adventures from the Dutchies. so for now we say: tot morgen! :D
