From sLOVEnija with salt!

For some of us the day started with a salty swim at 5:40. The skin still feels soft after a day full of salty experiences. The sun was just rising and the stunning view of the coastline and city of Portotož gave us inspiration for a new day.
Today really was full of salt. Early in the morning the boat took us quickly to Sećovlje Salina Nature Park. It´s amazing that in such a short time you can experience different atmosphere of Slovenia´s coastline. Seems like this region manages to offer something for everyone. In the middle of those mystic mud-fields lies unique outdoor thalasso Lepa Vida spa centre. Salina is sort of lake or field of seawater pools where salt is produced. We all had a possibility look into our souls and feel how we are part of that wonderful nature. OK, actually we just took some yoga poses for our video and had fun (no clients were harmed during filming a video, spa opened after we left). This is the area that we are trying to market innovatively and we had a chance to enjoy this cool holiday/school program.
Salt making is really cool and one nice solinarj let us crawl into the pool to make some salt for lunch. Basically, they stir seawater in small mud pools, the water hydrates and on top of the mud will be the salt you can cook or use for cosmetic purposes. And now the surprise of the day! Who could ever imagine that salt can be also sweet and taste heavenly … Exactly! We had a great opportunity to taste salt flavored chocolate and it was really something special. This is the taste we will take home with us.
Since there was plenty of free time before a bus we decided to discover coastline on our way to Portorož. Two hours walking under the Mediterranean sun. You can imagine how salty we felt. On the way we saw snails gathering on lamp posts, outdoor gym, mobile home park, tents, many luxurious yachts, casinos, hotels and sand-covered children.

Salty reality check came with a lecture about theory of innovative marketing in tourism. It is a good challenge for us and we are ready for brainstorming (Estonian style, of course).
