Sleeping in a tree and eating in the sea

Innovations guys, innovations!

Well guess on what we've worked today? Your right! Innovations! Today we're busy with a cgallenging topic: How to be innovative in tourism? How to develop new, atractive products and services? Sounds interesting doesn't it? Well if not, than I cannot help you...I belive that everyone is excited towards new ideas and products. Ergo, everyone like innovations...but lets get to the basic information.

So as I already told you: innovations. In teams of three students we had to think about a new product idea for the beautiful city of Portoroz. That is quite a challanging work. You must ask yourself the questions: What can I develop? What do people want? What are current trends and how is the current situation in Portoroz? For what kind of people do we want to develop that new idea? and so on and so on...Now we come to the most interesting part of the creation of an innovative idea: The brainstorming, the creation of the something new, the birth of an idea that may change the world...Well now it defenetly is interesting :p

What were the outcomes of that massive use of young and creative brain power? Well several ideas for new products and services for Portoroz were created. Let me give you the highlights.

One group developed an idea for a restaurant inside the Adriatic Sea, where guests actually sit in the water while eating and where the meals are prepared open air.

The winning group (as I told you yesterday; Tourism Students always looking for the challenge, thus we had a competition!) that involved our dear Dutchy Kia came up with the idea to create a hotel, where people sleep in a tent that is pulled up in a tree! Can we call this air-camping?! However a really innovative idea! And who knows....maybe some of our innovative plans from today will be implemented in Portoroz in the future....

We're now looking forward for our International Evening! The Dutchies are going to present the Netherlands in a creative and (how should it be otherwise!) creative way! You'll get some pictures from it tomorrow!

So stay tuned and 'tot morgen'!

PS: The new episode of Gerrit Explains is still in production due to the International Day in the evening. It will be added later on!
