From sLOVEnija with heritage!

Today was all about exploring different sites the coast of Slovenia has to offer and it was amazing! Early in the morning we went to Piran. 3 sisters from the past waited us there and each of them had a story to tell about. We had to find 4 sites and answer questions concerning the history of Piran. We observed a lot of historical sites, museums and sculptures. The athmosphere of Piran is really lovely with the Mediterranean-style narrow streets and cultural heritage.

After lunch the bus took us away from busy city center to authentic ecological farms. Today there is also a strong reason to come back to food topic. We had amazing culinary experience. After getting to know all about olives, olive trees and olive oil the owner of one ecological olive garden brought out fresh bread, cucambers, zuccini, olives and cheese. Everything local, everything ecological and everything delicious. The food was so good that it is hard to put emotions into the words. We also bought local ecological wine to bring it back home with us. We already getting used with local wines of 1L, it is a positively surprising because in Estonia we have usually smaller bottles.

We also visited a lovely farm, which is runned by one woman. It is amazing how much work can one person do if she really loves what's she's doing. She grows vegetables and herbs in organic way and also sells goods to loyal customers by baskets. We got useful information about farming, organic food and tourism issues together. Most exhilarated tourism attraction was a little kitty in that farm, everyone suddenly started to take pictures and videos of it.

Though day was interesting and all our senses felt lots of pampering, it was also quite exhausting because temperature was high and walking ups and downs was fatiguing. Back home we went for a traditional swim and it cleared our mind and refreshed a little bit.
