The end of the world?

Its day number five for the Dutchies in beautiful Slovenia. The days are still warm and sunny, which makes us happy as hot temperatures aren’t that common in the Netherlands. Yesterday we decided to have our dinner at the seaside in the form of a picnic. Once there massive black clouds came setting in from the mainland, something that is common to us Dutchies J So the food could be packed again, and perhaps a little disappointed we moved to the balcony to have our picnic there.
What we didn’t know at that time was that mother nature would provide us with an amazing show of nature’s fireworks. As the night set in and the dark clouds continued to pass by, thunder and lightning presented us a wonderful spectacle. A lot “ooooh`s” and “aaah`s” escaped our mouths as we enjoyed our perfect view over the Adriatic sea, and off course we all tried to get the perfect shot with our camera of the lightning, but you and I both know that is harder than it looks! Thanks to Gerrit for making this visual souvenir, the rest of the beautiful view will have to be kept on our human hard drives.

So moving on to today. A lecture was presented by the Portuguese tutors on tourism in Portugal which was interesting, when you know what I mean. We now know that for surfers fun there is no need to travel half the world to Australia.. The biggest waves can be found just around the corner, namely Portugal.

Today's Video blog was created during the lecture in the morning. But see yourself.

In the afternoon we had a workshop again. Two of the groups, including the Dutchies G
errit and Kia went to a nice café for this workshop. We hope you are jellous when you see this nice view ;)

So the Dutchies are now off to their second try of enjoying a picnic at the beach, this time we have the pleasure of the Estonians and Portuguese joining us. The evening is still young, and you never know what will happen next, so be sure to check our blog again tomorrow for another hilarious ‘Gerrit explains’ or great adventures of the Dutchies in Portoroz! See ya!!
